If you are not afraid of having a very sweet dessert from time to another, meat my famous peach cobbler recipe!
You’ll Need:
1 ½ cups of self-rising flour.
8 tbsps of butter.
½ cup of water.
2 cups of sugar, divided.
4 cups of peeled and sliced peaches.
1 ½ cups of milk.
Ground cinnamon (optional).
How to:
In a saucepan, mix together the sliced peaches, 1 cup of sugar and water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes then turn off the heat.
In a 3 quart baking dish, melt the butter in the oven.
In a bowl, mix together 1 cup of sugar, flour and milk then pour over the butter. Top with the fruit and pour the syrup gently over the top.
If you want to, sprinkle some ground cinnamon on top.
In a preheated oven to 350°, bake for 30 to 45 minutes.
Simple, easy and sweet! I usually use more peaches and less sugar. I also don’t pour all of the syrup over the top to avoid having a too wet dessert. Give this dessert a try, and let me know what you think.
